1. Experimental background

The measurement of the effective ingredients of proprietary Chinese medicines has always been a difficult point in the industry, because in addition to the effective ingredients, Chinese medicinal materials also contain a large number of other ingredients. Chinese patent medicines made from multi-flavored Chinese herbal medicines have more complex ingredients. It is conceivable that it is difficult to detect a trace amount of one or more effective ingredients in the presence of large amounts of impurities (irrelevant ingredients).

In the past, it was only possible to determine the total content of alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, etc. in certain medicinal materials. Traditional methods generally use chemical analysis and chromatographic analysis to obtain approximate component content. However, traditional methods have long measurement times and cannot be automated. Shortcomings such as production line docking.

This test was commissioned by a well-known pharmaceutical company to test the feasibility and measurement accuracy of the on-line measurement of the content of tangerine peel in the powder of traditional Chinese medicine by the MS-540 near infrared spectroscopy component analyzer of German Moerss.

2. Test time and place

Test time: March 20, 2020

Test location: Moss/Changsha Laboratory

3.  the measured medium

4 samples provided by a well-known pharmaceutical company

4.  testing tools

Main measurement equipment: a set of MS-540 near infrared spectrum component analyzer

Test accessories: one computer for debugging, one RS232 to USB converter, one set of calibration software.

5. the purpose of the experiment

Detect the content of tangerine peel in the sample to test its feasibility and accuracy.

6. experimental methods

1. Use MS-540 instrument to perform sample measurement spectrum extraction.

2. Complete data model establishment and calibration based on known laboratory data.

3. Analyze the content of tangerine peel in unknown samples.

7. instrument installation

Installation status (on-site installation requirements and conditions):

This test uses temporarily built measuring tooling for testing

8. Test process

1. Use samples of different components to extract spectral data under dynamic conditions.

2. Send the samples to the laboratory for testing and get the standard values of various components.

3. Use standard values to analyze the quasi-model of each component.

4. Obtain the calibration curve of each component, and then perform measurement comparison.

The sample spectrum is as follows:

9.  test data and analysis

1. Each sample is measured 5 times, the spectrum of three times is used as the calibration spectrum, and the spectrum of the other two does not participate in the calibration.

2. Measurement results:

The following curve diagram of instrument measurement value and sample laboratory data is as follows:
